About Department

Chemical Engineering Department established in the year 2012 with a vision to provide excellence in teaching-learning, industrial training and innovative practices to young technocrats. The department has qualified and dynamic faculties who are expertise in chemical and allied technology such as Heat and Mass transfer, Reaction engineering, Hazardous waste, Waste water treatment, Process modeling and Simulation, Waste to energy, Bio fuel, etc. The department operates student chapter of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE, Kolkatta) and ISTE, New Delhi. Under the banner of Ankleshwar chapter of IIChE, the department is organizing various activities such as Quiz competition, Industrial visits, Short-term training program, Hands-on training, etc. The department has outstanding contribution in the area of consultancy. It has been recognized as Scheduled-I Environment Auditor by GPCB, Gandhinagar to conduct environment audit of various chemical industries and also showed outstanding track of placement for the students. Also, students have earned various SSIP grant in the area of Bio-diesel, Thermo dustbin and Sugarcane trash.

Program Educational Objectives

PEO1: To provide chemical engineering graduates with a well-built technical base as well as communication skills that will enable them to have successful careers in a broad range of industrial and professional environments.

PEO2: To prepare chemical engineering students for rapidly modifying technological environments.

PEO3: To establish a strong sense of belief in human dignity, science and professionalism in such a way that they can conduct morally and proficiently regarding technological impact in societal issues.

Program Specific Outcomes

PSO1: The program is designed to give students a strong foundation in chemical engineering and their applications in the field of commodity chemicals, specialty, petrochemicals and other relevant areas.

PSO2: Should have an ability to apply technical knowledge for handling of unit operations & unit processes.

PSO3: Should have the capability to design, scale up and operation for variety of chemical engineering products.
