About Us

The Centre for Environmental Research and Technology is recognized by the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), Gandhinagar, as a Schedule-I Environmental Auditor, vide circular no. GPCB/EA-326/422737 dated 12th September 2017.

We are proud to be NABL-accredited for over 77 parameters in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and are also ISO 9001:2015 certified, ensuring our commitment to quality and accuracy in every process.

Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and is managed by a team of qualified and experienced professionals who ensure the highest standards in testing and analysis.

Our Services

In addition to Environmental Audit and Laboratory Testing Services, our dedicated research team is actively involved in cutting-edge Research and Development (R&D) projects, including:

The Centre for Environmental Research & Technology undertakes both on-site and off-site operations, following approved procedures based on Indian Standards, APHA, and EPA guidelines. Our testing department consists of highly experienced and qualified professionals from engineering, chemical, and environmental backgrounds. In addition, we have a team of skilled, trained, and certified technicians who ensure that every task is carried out accurately and in full compliance with applicable standards.

Members

Dr. Yogesh C. Rotliwala

He holds a doctorate in Chemical Engineering from SVNIT, Surat. His research interests focus on biofuels, cleaner production, and environmental pollution control. With over 25 years of teaching experience, he has dedicated 10 years to research and has served for 15 years as the Chief Coordinator of the Environmental Audit Cell and consultancy services.

He has been the recipient of several central government grants and has authored more than 20 research papers along with 2 patents. Currently, he is serving as the Principal of the Pacific School of Engineering. In addition to this role, he continues to serve as the Chief Coordinator (authorized chemical engineer) of the Environmental Audit Cell.



Dr. Jayesh Shah

He holds a doctorate in Civil Engineering and is currently serving as the Director of the Civil Material Testing & Research Centre at Pacific School of Engineering, Surat. With over 28 years of comprehensive experience spanning industry, teaching, and research, he brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Notably, he has worked as an Environmental Engineer for five years in a GPCB-approved Schedule-I organization during his tenure at SNPIT & RC Institute.

His primary research interests lie in water and wastewater management. He has published and presented over 25 research papers at various national and international conferences and seminars. In recognition of his academic contributions, he received a prestigious national award in 2015 for guiding the best M.Tech thesis.



Dr. Hiral S. Tailor

He holds a Doctorate in Organic Chemistry and currently serves as the Head of the Centre for Environmental Research and Technology (CERT) and the Department of Applied Science and Humanities (A.S.& H.) at Pacific School of Engineering, Kadodara, Surat. He has been associated with the institute since the inception of CERT and also serves as a Senior Chemist (Authorized Member) of the Environmental Audit Cell.

With over 18 years of academic experience, he has published twelve research papers in reputed national and international journals, presented three papers at national and international conferences, and authored three books. He is primarily responsible for the efficient operation of the laboratory and the analysis of chemical parameters, ensuring strict adherence to quality protocols and regulatory compliance standards.



Dr. Himanshu J. Patel

He holds a doctorate in Environmental Chemistry and is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Pacific School of Engineering, Surat. In addition, he is an authorized Senior Chemist with the Environmental Audit Cell. He brings with him a rich industrial experience of 13 years, along with approximately 5 years of teaching experience.

His academic contributions include two published patents, twenty research papers in reputed journals, two review articles, nine books, and a book chapter. He has also presented six papers at various national and international conferences.



Mr. Kishan B. Talaviya

He is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Pacific School of Engineering, Surat, and is currently working as a Chemical Engineer in the Environmental Audit Cell at the same institution. He has been serving in this role for the past two years, contributing to environmental monitoring and compliance activities.



Ms. Margi S. Patel

She is a graduate in Environmental Engineering from Government Engineering College, Valsad, and is currently working as an Environmental Engineer in the Environmental Audit Cell. With over 3 years of experience in this field, she is well-versed in environmental auditing processes.

She has hands-on experience with the operation and maintenance of treatment systems such as ETPs, CETPs, and STPs. Additionally, she possesses solid knowledge in environmental sampling and monitoring practices.



Mr. Keval Patel

He is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Valsad. He has 2 years of industrial experience and is currently working as a Chemical Engineer in the Environmental Audit Cell at Pacific School of Engineering. He has been serving in this role for the past year, contributing to environmental compliance and audit activities.



Ms. Mruganxi Sharma

She is a graduate in Microbiology from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat, and is currently working as a Microbiologist in the Environmental Audit Cell at Pacific School of Engineering, Kadodara, Surat. She has 2.5 years of experience in the Environmental Audit Cell, where she actively contributes to environmental monitoring and analysis.

She has completed a one-month internship at IIT Indore, which enhanced her technical proficiency. She is well-versed in conducting environmental testing, including air and water sampling, and performing standardized microbiological testing and analysis related to water quality and environmental compliance.



Ms. Pinku Vasava

She holds a postgraduate degree in Biotechnology from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. She is currently working as a Microbiologist in the Environmental Audit Cell at Pacific School of Engineering, Kadodara, Surat. She has 1 year of academic experience and is actively involved in environmental monitoring and analysis.

She is proficient in conducting environmental testing, including air and water sampling, and performing standardized microbiological testing and analysis related to water quality and environmental products.

 



Ms. Monika Yadav

She is a graduate in Environmental Engineering and is currently working as an Environmental Engineer in the Environmental Audit Cell at Pacific School of Engineering, Kadodara. She has 6 months of experience in consulting and laboratory work. She is familiar with the operation and maintenance of ETPs, CETPs, and STPs, and possesses knowledge of environmental sampling and monitoring.

 



Mr. Rocky Suryavanshi

He is a graduate in Environmental Engineering and is currently working as an Environmental Engineer in the Environmental Audit Cell at Pacific School of Engineering, Kadodara. He is well-versed in the design, treatment, operation, and maintenance of ETPs, CETPs, and STPs. Additionally, he possesses sound knowledge of environmental sampling, monitoring, and analysis.
