About Department

The Department was established in 2012 with an aim to be global center of excellence in technical education & innovative applications producing excellent professionals with integrity besides being useful to all the stake holders under the able guidance of professional &experienced teaching staff.

The Department of Electrical Engineering educates and conducts research covering wide areas of information science, from fundamental technologies such as electrical machine design, MATLAB programming, microprocessor and microcontroller, switchgear and power system protection, industrial instrumentation, which support infrastructures of the highly industrial machine design, drives, substation and automation,and theoretical electrical instrumentation.

To achieve our mission, we provide attractive educational programs for students to learn from the basics to advanced technologies related to Electrical engineering. Through our educational programs students are expected to become leading engineers and researchers who are highly motivated and have practical, creative, and management skills to drive an advanced next-generation information society in all industrial fields.

Program Educational Objectives

PEO1: To be able to solve complex electrical problems by acquiring practical knowledge with help of advance machine-tools and technology in the field of electrical engineering.

PEO2: To enhance the knowledge of graduates by providing continuous interaction between industry and academia.

PEO3: To nurture the students to become skilled engineer and successful entrepreneur in electrical and other engineering fields as well as management and entrepreneurship.

PEO4: To develop the qualities like creativity, leadership, team work, effective communication skills and professional ethical attitude in graduates thus contributing towards the growth and instill a sense of responsibility towards the society.

PEO5: To ingrain self-learning capability and attitude for life- long learning process among graduates and cope up with technological changes.


Program Specific Outcomes

PSO1: Apply the fundamentals of mathematics, science and engineering to identify, formulate, design and investigate complex engineering problems of electric circuits, analog and digital electronics circuits, control systems, electrical machines and industrial automation.

PSO2: Adopt the appropriate techniques and modern hardware and software tools in electrical engineering to engage in life-long learning and successfully adapt in multi-disciplinary environments.

PSO3: Explore the technologies in power systems e.g. operation and control, supervising and monitoring, protection, renewable energy sources, utilization of energy and energy management systems to address the current and future energy issues.

PSO4: Awareness of the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal, environmental context, professional ethics and be able to communicate effectively.
