Civil Engineering Department, PSE, Surat had organized two days workshop on “Hands on Practice on AutoCAD and Revit software”. Our Experts were from Khodiyar CAD Center Pvt. Ltd. Surat (KCCIPL).KCCIPL is an Authorized Channel Partner of Autodesk, Ansys and Master CAM as well Authorized Training center of Autodesk & Parametric Technology Corporation in Gujarat.Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit is a building information modelling software for Architects, Structural Engineers, MEP engineers, Designers and Contractors. It allows users to design a building and structure and its components in 3D, annotate the model with 2D drafting elements, and access building information from the building model's database.

Every year, Number of students are getting graduation in Engineering. They are having aim for higher studies or Jobs in their respective field. Studying and getting job in foreign countries seen hard, but various institutes are there who not only provides education but also jobs with various scholarship programs. For this, TESCA firm is guiding and preparing students to qualify for IELTS, TOEFL exams etc, getting admission, and provide complete help in career-making in foreign countries. In this session, basic information were provided about higher studies in foreign countries like Canada, USA, UK, European countries etc. A total of 43 students have participated in this session. It was founded in 2010, Since the time of inception it has an aim to improve the level of computer education in our society. It has an exclusive team of training specialist to cater the demands of ever growing engineering industry. This center is providing Services like education & corporate training, software sales and engineering consultancy. Autodesk Revit is a building information modelling software for Architects, Structural Engineers, MEP engineers, Designers and Contractors. It allows users to design a building and structure and its components in 3D, annotate the model with 2D drafting elements, and access building information from the building model's database. Revit is 4D building information modelling capable with tools to plan and track various stages in the building's lifecycle, from concept to construction and later maintenance and/or demolition.

For Engineers’ success parameters of any project are as: (1) Timely Completion, (2) Best Quality, (3) Optimum Cost. To achieve these parameters, basic understanding of scope in works required. Quality and timeline are mandatory content to manage the whole project.

This workshop contains, how the Pre-Construction Activities affects the whole project, current scenario in realistic market and how to understand the project requirements in terms of Timeline, Cost, Scope & Quality by analyzing Tender and Drawings. These drawings are intended to give a clear picture of all things in a construction site to a civil engineer for that purpose our department has organised one day workshop on “CAD Technology- AutoCAD”. AutoCAD is a versatile and most ubiquitous commercial Drafting & Modelling software tool developed and marketed by AUTODESK since 1982. AutoCAD is used across a wide range of industries, like Transportation, Real Estate, Marine Engineering, Education, Construction, Maintenance, Repairing, Overhauling Industries etc. Basically this workshop contain knowledge regarding different commands for the drawing and hands on practice using AutoCAD software for building planning.
